All individuals participating in the evaluation of submissions for the AIBII conference and its associated events are required to adhere to the ethical standards outlined below. Reviewers who are unable to comply with these guidelines must notify the Program Chairs immediately.
"I acknowledge my responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards in my role as a reviewer. I commit to acting with integrity, fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism throughout the peer-review process."
Fairness & Objectivity
I will conduct fair, unbiased, and objective evaluations of all submissions. I will treat authors with respect and provide constructive, professional, and courteous feedback aimed at improving the quality of their work.
Conflicts of Interest
I will disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could compromise my impartiality. I will decline review invitations if I am not qualified, or if my objectivity may be affected by institutional, professional, or personal ties.
Institutional & Professional Relationships
I recognize that reviewing submissions from authors at my own institution, or with whom I have close or prior working relationships, is not permissible. Any such conflicts will be reported immediately to the Program Chairs.
Constructive Evaluation
I will focus exclusively on the academic merit of each submission and refrain from personal criticism. My reviews will provide clear, well-supported reasoning and constructive suggestions for improvement.
Equity & Merit-Based Assessment
I will evaluate submissions solely on scholarly quality, originality, and contribution, regardless of authors' identities, affiliations, or backgrounds.
Confidentiality
I will maintain strict confidentiality throughout the review process and will not share, disclose, or use any information obtained during review for personal benefit or unauthorized purposes.
Plagiarism & Ethical Violations
I will carefully assess submissions for plagiarism or ethical concerns. Any suspected misconduct will be reported promptly to the Chairs, recognizing that plagiarism constitutes a serious ethical violation.
Timeliness & Responsibility
I will adhere to all review guidelines and deadlines set by the AIBII Chairs and provide thorough, timely, and responsible feedback to authors.
Reviewer Affirmation
In all aspects of my role as a reviewer for AIBII conference papers, I affirm my commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and recognize the importance of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in maintaining the quality and credibility of the peer-review process.
